April was not so good weather wise but it was again another busy month, it started with a trip to London, to see The Sessions at the Albert Hall, lunch on the Thames, a trip to see 'Chandler' in The End of Longing and a walk round Selfridges, but couldn't find Mr Selfridge!

Went quizzing with my daughter and son-in-law to be - we were not very good!

A trip to The Festival of Vintage www.festivalofvintage.co.uk what a great day, then finished off with my daughters hen party, ceramic painting at www.facebook.com/rainbowceramicspaintingstudio and Magic Mike at 1331 Bar

Well what a busy month March has been, I was very proud to complete a month of no chocolate to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, what a challenge for a chocoholic ! it was also Easter and my birthday.
Thank you to all those people that sponsored me.
A weekend in London where the weather was warm and sunny - most of the time, two shows, and lunch on the Thames, was a nice divertion to the busyness of my second daughters wedding. Although sewing felt flowers on the train did make the journeys seem quick.
Now have to get my head down and get those flowers and buttonholes done.

Well this month started with a serious thought of the big wedding in June! I spent a full day with my daughter and my mother getting all the jam jars ready for the table. Very happy to get them finished, and had an enjoyable evening with lots of Prosecco.

I had a lovely family holiday in Centre Parcs with my daughters and their husbands/fiancé  4 grandchildren and two dogs, lots of walks, swimming eating and drinking, great time had by all.
Now to concentrate on the bouquet, bridesmaids hoops and buttonholes, the first one done.

We have had a wonderful time in Cornwall, a lovely 400 yr old cottage nr Padstow,  http://www.cornishseaviewcottages.co.uk/property-item/primrose-cottage/ .
We had brilliant weather for the first few days so much that we got to have a BBQ on the beach, and the almost to our selves to play with the dogs. what a thing for November ! 
We visited some beautiful places The Lost Garden of Heligan http://heligan.com and Trebah http://www.trebahgarden.co.uk, I now have a lots of inspiration ! 
Being with special friends, having fun eating, walking, laughing, and sleeping a great week.

Well what happened to the sun it has disappeared again, I'm positive it will be back.  There was a unexpected family barbeque on Friday night, a little Prosecco  and Pimms were consumed lots of laughter, and the trampoline was used even by Smudge the boxer. 
Visit by my son and daughter in law was a nice distraction on Saturday, and I bought an adult colouring book, how relaxing is that.
Well now back to work 

A tea party, my daughters made a very good job.

With cup and saucers, teapots, cakes on stands, scones with jam and cream and dainty sandwiches what a very special afternoon. Lots of laughter and chit chat 3 generations of mothers enjoying family time.

Lots of flowers, a bottle of bubbly, and Bombay Gin a cushion and chocolate, I've been spoilt.

Buttons have been around for hundreds if years, they have changed with fashion, they have been made of every natural and manmade material, like bone, shell, wood, metal, glass, china, plastic. Having a family button tin was normal. I would love to hear stories of those buttons. My Nanna had a concertina box on legs that had ribbons, lace buttons I loved sorting it

Pancakes savoury, sweet, chocolate, lemon&sugar what's your favourite, I'm a traditional girl lemon and sugar wins every time

Well the Christmas and New Year celebrations are well and truly over.

Thoroughly pleased to be back doing the flower course with Joanna Keely Flowers for all occasions, taking my daughter tonight to have a go! Should be interesting and fun. Second week and Laura Rose is outshining me, beautiful table centre piece.
